Lose some cash? Penticton RCMP may have it

Someone turned in a large amount of cash to Penticton RCMP, and police are searching for the rightful owner.

On Jan. 15, a good samaritan found some cash on Main Street in North Penticton and handed it in to the RCMP.

“This is a significant amount of money and we would like to return it to the owner,” Const. Brett Urano BC RCMP Divisional Media Relations Officer said in a release. “If you recently lost some money please contact the Penticton RCMP to claim it.”

To claim the cash you have to be able to tell police the value of the found money.

The owner can contact RCMP at 250-492-4300 and quote file number 2024-652.
