KAMLOOPS — This cat came to the Kamloops SPCA a stray severely matted and in need of help.
Since then Freddie Mercury has gotten a more comfortable if slightly embarrassing haircut and a neuter, a media release says.
After fending for himself for a long time he is now ready to find his forever home.
Freddie can be a bit timid and nervous at first, but once you're petting him he loves the attention. He can be bribed with treats.
Fast movements and loud noises can spook him. He may do best in a quieter home without children where a patient guardian could help him work on his fears.
Shelter staff don't know if Freddie has lived with other animals before so testing and slow, proper introductions would be very important. Other animals would need to be easygoing on not too rambunctious.
For more information about Freddie Mercury contact the staff at the Kamloops SPCA. His animal ID number is 482386.
Visit the shelter's webpage for more information such as location, adoption fees and hours of operation.
