Looking for forever home; Kamloops SPCA pet of the week

KAMLOOPS — This dog was adopted from the Kamloops SPCA about a year ago, and was recently returned because she was having accidents in the home.

The shelter says they have done blood work and a urinalysis on Fifi, the dog. They did not find any infection, and say that she may have a behavioural issue with urinating and defecating indoors. It is also possible that she wasn't getting proper access to outside.

A media release says Fifi has a heart murmur.

Fifi is described as "a very sweet and social small dog" and has lived peacefully with other small dogs in the past. However, she can have an attitude towards larger breeds.

The shelter has started Fifi on pee pads and are finding she does use them during the night when no one is around. Fifi would probably be fine in a home with older kids. They do not know how she would do with cats.

For more information about Fifi contact the staff at the Kamloops SPCA. Her animal ID number is 462116.

Visit the shelter's webpage for more information such as location, adoption fees and hours of operation.
