VERNON - Sonny just moved to the sunny Okanagan from Alberta and is looking for a new home.

A Vernon SPCA spokesperson said Sonny is a sweetheart who is full of joy and energy and is looking for an active family that will take him on many hikes and adventures.

"Sonny is a very social and curious dog who would love to be by your side all day. His ideal guardian would be experienced with large breed dogs and committed to continuing Sonny's training. We are confident that Sonny will catch on to training quickly as he is eager to please," the SPCA said.

As he was a stray, little is known about Sonny's history, though he has shown interest in other dogs at the shelter and would likely do well with another canine companion.

"He's a big goofball who loves to play and fetch."

For more information about Sonny and other animals available for adoption, visit the Vernon branch of the BC SPCA online.
