VERNON - One of the Vernon SPCA's shy felines is looking for a home.

Joan Jett, a two-year-old spayed female, has been in the branch's care for more than 40 days.

"This beautiful girl has had a rough start to life being a stray and on her own. Joan has not spent much time if any around humans," said Chelsea Taylor, branch manager. "Eventually, she found herself with a couple of her own little kittens and a good samaritan found all of them and brought them up to us at the Branch. Since being in our care, Joan Jett has started to make some progress towards trusting humans but has a long ways to go."

Joan would benefit from gentle and patient owners who can give her the time, space and love she requires to adjust to family living.

For more information about Joan Jett, visit the Vernon SPCA online.
