Looking for a forever home; Kamloops SPCA pet of the week

KAMLOOPS - This cat came into the care of the Kamloops SPCA as a pregnant stray.

Chickie went into foster care where she had her kittens. A media release says all the kittens have grown and found their new homes.

Now she is working on finding her forever home.

Chickie was a bit wild and under-socialized when she came into care. She never really was handled by people.

Her foster family has worked hard on teaching her that people aren’t so scary, and she has made a lot of progress.

She likes to have hiding areas to feel safe and may get easily scared so is not suitable for a home with kids.

She needs a patient, gentle, and experienced cat savvy guardian who is willing to continue working on her socialization

When she's comfortable she starts showing her playful side like the young cat she is. Once she trusts you she enjoys pets but is still working on getting used to being picked up.

For more information about Chickie contact the staff at the Kamloops SPCA. Her animal ID number is 459164.

Visit the shelter's webpage for more information such as location, adoption fees and hours of operation.
