KAMLOOPS - This blue-eyed beauty is looking for someone who is willing to work on building a relationship.
Cana is described as a beautiful sweet dainty lady with Siamese colours and blue eyes.
"Because she had very little human contact when she was a kitten, she is shy and timid and needs time and space to build trust and feel secure in her environment," says the Kamloops SPCA. "Cana would do best in a quiet home with no children or dogs but she does get along with other cats."
Due to Cana's timidness, the best way to build a relationship with Cana is to have lots of patience. Additionally, having a "safe spot" would be beneficial. This would be a space she could go to that is her own. A "cat cave" or little house with soft blankets would be ideal. This space would provide her with a place to hide or to sleep. The SPCA says her litter box and food should be close to her house.
Cana purrs a lot and will seek out attention when she feels comfortable. She will give you plenty of head-butts and do a lot of kneading.
Cana like to play with toys and her favourites are ones she can bat and chase.
Tuna flavour Temptations are her favourite treat so, having them around is a good way to get her to interact and play.
Cana is ready for adoption. With lots of love and a little patience, she will be a lovely little companion.
Cana is in foster but she is available to meet potential adopters.
