Looking for a forever home; Kamloops SPCA pet of the week

Luna, Animal ID 439393, is a beautiful German Shepherd trying to find her second chance.
August 06, 2017 - 1:00 PM

KAMLOOPS - This mature beauty, Luna, is looking for her new home.

According to the Kamloops B.C. SPCA animal profile, Luna is facing the same problem as other older animals, being overlooked. She is a doe-eyed seven-year-old beauty. Her age is truly an asset because there won't be any puppy mischief. She is a mature pet with a settled personality but you can still teach this 'old' dog new tricks.

She has lived with other dogs and with proper introductions could live with them again. The shelter doesn't know if she has ever lived with any cats but they are "sure she'd give it a go."

Like other German Shepherds, Luna has a seriousness about her but she is a softie, according to the Kamloops SPCA profile.

The SPCA always recommend researching what it takes to care for an older pet, and also the dog's breed so you are prepared for responsible pet guardianship!

Luna would likely love a fenced yard to lounge in. She does like to be active, Luna enjoys long walks and outdoor adventures. She knows some basic commands and is respectful on a leash.

If you think you'd like to add Luna to your home or if you are interested in meeting her, please contact our branch or come to the shelter. The Kamloops branch would like to encourage you to submit an adoption application by email to kamloops@spca.bc.ca, by fax at 1-250-376-7723 or in person to 1211 8th Street, Kamloops, BC. Luna's animal ID is 439393.

It might be one giant leap for you, but only a small step for Luna to walk into your hearts!
