LOGAN LAKE - RCMP are asking for the public's help in finding a unique truck stolen from a B.C. Hydro substation in the Logan Lake area this weekend.

Police say thieves broke into the substation compound sometime between Thursday, Aug. 18 and Monday, Aug. 22.

The emergency medical truck and about 800 metres of copper wire were taken from the substation, according to a RCMP media release.

The truck is described as an ambulance-bodied 2002 Ford truck, painted white with the letters 'FMI' on the doors and B.C. license plate HB1316.

The copper conductor wire is worth about $4,500, RCMP say.

Anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to call 911. Anyone with information about the truck or the wire are asked to call the Logan Lake RCMP at 250-523-6222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
