KELOWNA - A local restaurant that has the spirit of a winery with their on location jam factory will make it's debut on the Food Network April 10.

The Jammery, located on Highway 97 between Kelowna and Lake Country, is not only a great local restaurant with a lot of homey appeal, but is also a gift shop and jam production facility, offering a taste of preserved Okanagan fruits. Filming for the Food Network TV show You Gotta Eat Here took place in October last year and owner Bill Morrison says the series is a perfect way to show off the uniqueness of their products and decor.

The Jammery opened to the public in 2000 and Morrison says the response has been outstanding.

“We’re an incredibly busy place with customers who come from all over the world,” he says.

According to Morrison, producers for the hit show found the Jammery when one of them stopped by for lunch and thought it would make a good episode.

It airs on the Food Network April 10 at 6 p.m.

For more information on the restaurant and their products, visit The Jammery website or Facebook page.
