VANCOUVER - Shania Twain says she's very sure her upcoming tour will be her last forever, but there are two opportunities to catch her show in Vancouver this June.
The Rock This Country Tour features musician-actor Wes Mack who'll open all shows in Canada including two in Vancouver at Rogers Arena June 7 and 9, according to a media release. A presale event is already on and tickets for the public are available starting at 10 a.m. Friday March 13, 2015.
Twain's career hit the top with Come On Over which sold 75 million albums becoming the bestselling album ever by a woman in all genres. Her most recent album, released March 3 is a live set called Shania: Still the One Live From Vegas. It's a deluxe edition, 18-track CD and DVD set. It was created out of her two-year residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas which ended in December. Her last studio album was Up!, released in 2002.
The Rock This Country Tour will feature all the hits that made Twain famous.
It's been a long wait for fans. The 47-year-old Ontario-born singer dropped out of the music scene in 2004, battling vocal problems which kept her from the stage for close to a decade. She was a rising star in the '90s with hits such as "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" and "Honey I'm Home". She set trends in the country music scene, with her midrif-baring fashion and music that was influenced by her first husband, record producer and song writer Robert John "Mutt" Lange who also produced albums for rock bands Def Leppard and AC/DC.
