CAWSTON - Keremeos volunteer firefighters are still dealing with the aftermath of a residential fire on Barcelo Road in Cawston.
Keremeos Fire Chief Jordy Bosscha was at the scene and said fire crews are still occupied with burning logs. A staffer at Kelowna's fire dispatch office said the crews have been at the Cawston home since 7:54 a.m. this morning. There were no reported injuries regarding the home's two occupants.
Firefighters are now waiting for heavy equipment to arrive to help with the work.
The Keremeos Volunteer Fire Department has been busy in the past week. They've fought two fires within 36 hours of each other on Monday. A pet grooming business was destroyed and a restaurant building was damaged.
