On June 21st, Playtime Casino in Kelowna is pulling out all the stops with a summer solstice celebration dedicated to supporting local charities.
The celebration of summer kicks off with a charity brunch raising funds for the Central Okanagan Food Bank (COFB). The all-you-can-eat brunch buffet is just $30—and that includes a complimentary mimosa. Want an even better deal? You can bring the cost down to $25 by bringing along a non-perishable food donation for the COFB.
Free Play Casino Credit Give-away
According to Playtime Casino's Guest Services Manager, Cherie Deneau, there are even more incentives for guests to come into their excellent restaurant for brunch and donate to this great cause. "We are taking five dollars off the cost of brunch for bringing in a non-perishable donation, but the Casino is also kicking in a ten dollar "Free Play" too,” adds Deneau. This is a great deal for a summer weekend, and supports an excellent cause.
How does it work? Playtime Casino will offer a $2 “Free Play” for each additional qualifying food bank donation that brunch patrons bring. Brunch is open from 11 am to 2 pm in the casino's spacious Match Eatery & Public House; a brunch reservation is a good idea as this promises to be a popular event.

Summer Solstice Dinner Fundraiser for Motionball
Typical of their passion for doing things for the Kelowna community on a grand scale, Playtime Casino was not content to support just one great cause for their Summer Solstice Celebration. This is an entire day of fundraising for great causes.
If you want to be part of helping but can't make it to the brunch, don't worry; there is also a fundraising dinner on June 21 for an equally important reason. Playtime Casino manager Clarissa Pruden tells us, "This year, the summer solstice dinner is in support of motionball, a non-profit raising funds and awareness on behalf of Canada's Special Olympics."
The fundraiser for motionball will feature a delicious Cajun Chicken Dinner - and the $50 ticket price includes a $10 Free Play and a complimentary drink ticket. Just like with brunch, dinner guests can donate additional non-perishable items to the food bank and collect up to five X $2 in Free Play. With these excellent prices, seats are likely to sell out fast, so get your tickets early. To book a table in advance, contact Casino Guest Services at 250-980-2072 to reserve.
