KELOWNA - A Kelowna night club has been sold to a new owner and will close its doors after one last "College Thursday" party.

Level nightclub will be closed after one last Thursday night party on Feb. 28.

Raj Veluswamy, the current owner, says it is fortunate that their last party before closing for rennovations happens to be on one of their more successful nights.

"We want to go out with a bang," Veluswamy says in a phone interview. "There was so many people who [went] there and had their first memories there. And I thought it would be a good idea so we could party one last time together and say good bye."

Veluswamy says he and his wife decided to sell the business for personal reasons, and now he is looking forward to taking some time off.

At this time Veluswamy is not in a place to release details about the new owners or how they plan to take over the three-storey venue on Leon Avenue.

"Timing is the major thing," he says. "They want to do it as a surprise."
