Kelowna's Kangaroo Creek Farm opening later this month

The Kangaroo Creek Farm is open for the season at its new Kelowna location on Old Vernon Road.

Spring has sprung which means one thing to the Okanagan’s contingent of marsupial fans.

Kangaroo Creek Farm will soon open.

The popular business that offers a unique selection of creatures, ranging from kangaroos to capybaras, for locals to gently interact with is opening its gates April 29, with the intention to close in October.

The plan is to be open seven days a week, including the weekends and the holidays, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Gates close at 3 p.m. 

Due to COVID-19 there are some precautions in place.

Among those precautions, this year they have added debit/credit and encourage guests to tap. Admissions staff are behind plexiglass shields and wipe the debit/credit machine if the tap option isn’t used.  Adults will pay $12, children and youth $6, Seniors 65 yrs + $6, children 4 and under, Free.

There will be a hand wash station available and people will be asked to wash their hands before they come into the farm.

Physical distancing will also be required.

Kangaroo Creek Farm is located at 5932 Old Vernon Road, which is near the North end of the Kelowna airport, at the junction of Old Vernon Road and Postill Lake Road.
