A Kelowna photographer will be buying a new camera and some new bedding after winning $100,000 on a scratch and win ticket.
Diane Galbraith was walking home after purchasing her ticket from the Shoppers Drug Mart on Bernard Avenue when she decided to scratch it.
“I started to see the words come up and didn’t believe it at first,” she said, in a press release issued by the B.C. Lottery Corporation.
Once home, Galbraith checked her ticket several times on the BCLC Lotto app, just to be sure she was seeing right.
Then she claimed her prize using BCLC’s alternate prize-claim process, and shared the exciting news with her sister, according to the press release.
“I showed my sister my screen...she was flabbergasted and her first words were ‘No way,’” she said in the press release.
After sharing some of her winnings with her family, Galbraith plans to treat herself to a new camera as well as some new bedding.
