A Kelowna woman was driving through Banff when she managed to capture a brief video of the highly sought after white grizzly.

"I was driving through Banff yesterday and ended up seeing a white grizzly, by chance I got a really wicked shot of him on camera. I thought everyone else would enjoy seeing him too! it was incredibly cool," Jasmine Johnsen said in a Facebook post.

Concern about the attention focused on the three-and-a-half-year-old bear is on the rise, which has prompted Parks Canada to establish a 10-kilometre, no-stopping zone to protect it and other bears  that are feeding along the Trans-Canada Highway.

The zone will be in place until the bears move away from the highway, runs from near the Alberta-B.C. boundary to Field, B.C.
