KELOWNA - Get ready for a splash of Latin flavour as Kelowna welcomes its first Carnaval del Sol.
Piggybacking on the 11th annual celebration in Vancouver, the largest Latin festival in the area according to organizers, Carnaval del Sol Kelowna will fill City Park Sept. 1 and 2.
“A special edition of the iconic Carnaval del Sol Vancouver is coming to Kelowna to close out the end of the summer vacation with a phenomenal two-day fiesta,” organizers said in anticipation of the event. “The Okanagan Valley version of the festival will be held at City Park to promote and celebrate our Latin American arts, food and culture, and end the summer vacation season in authentic Latin style.”
The festival will feature an array of Latin entertainment as well as tango and salsa lessons, arts workshops and family activities.
