The Canadian Country Music Association has announced Kelowna will host the 2025 Country Music Week and Canadian Country Music Association Awards.

In September of 2025, Kelowna will host the country music events for the first time in its history, according to a news release issued today, April 16. The City of Kelowna, Tourism Kelowna, Creative BC, the Province and the 2025 Host Committee are working to welcome and support the events.

“Kelowna’s blend of natural beauty, vibrant culture, and hospitality makes it the perfect setting for this prestigious event. The city’s unique charm, complemented by its urban energy, will showcase the best in Canadian country music," Amy Jeninga, President of the Canadian Country Music Association, said in the release.

Kelowna Mayor Tom Dyas said the city has a vibrant country music scene.

"Since 1977, Country Music Week has only twice been hosted in British Columbia and what better city to welcome it back than Kelowna," Dyas said.

Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport Lana Popham said it's a fantastic opportunity to showcase B.C.'s unique cultural and open doors to new opportunities for the province's talent base.

“We can’t wait to roll out the red carpet for country music enthusiasts and artists to discover the beauty and warm hospitality of Kelowna," Popham said in the release. "Get ready for a nation-wide celebration of Canadian country music in our own backyard.”

The City's reputation for its more than 40 wineries along with its beautiful fall weather and Kelowna's Cultural District is expected to attract and enchant event attendees.
