KELOWNA - The Kelowna branch of the BC SPCA is seeking assistance from the public to help Alice, a three year old dog at the facility.
Alice needs surgery to repair a ruptured cruciate and torn meniscus. She will need tibial-plateau-leveling osteotomy surgery in order to walk and run again without pain.
Alice’s surgery and rehabilitation, including medical and daily care is estimated to cost $5,233. She will also need eight weeks’ recovery time in a foster home.
“Alice loves cuddles and she’s most relaxed when she’s around people,” says Kelowna SPCA branch manager Sean Hogan.
“She enjoys playing outside and going for walks but she can’t do either right now because of her injury.” he said.
If you can help Alice and other animals in need at the Kelowna SPCA, please visit this website, or contact the branch at 3785 Casorso Road in Kelowna, 250-861-7722.
