The Kelowna Rockets will be taking on the Seattle Thunderbirds in round one of the WHL playoffs.
It will be a challenging series for the Rockets who finished eighth in the Western Conference, versus the first-place Thunderbirds. After 68 regular season games, Kelowna finished with 58 points compared to the Thunderbirds’ 111.
But it won’t be easy for the Thunderbirds to contain Rockets forward Andrew Cristall, who finished this season with the sixth-most points in the WHL, scoring 39 goals and 59 assists in 54 games.
The first games of the series are in Seattle this weekend, March 31 and April 1. Kelowna’s first home games are April 4 and 5 at Prospera Place.

In the BCHL, the West Kelowna Warriors will have home-ice advantage against the Vernon Vipers in the first round, and the league-leading Penticton Vees will be taking on the Trail Smoke Eaters.
Both series begin March 31 at 7 p.m., in West Kelowna at the Royal LePage Place and in Penticton at the South Okanagan Events Centre. Warriors ticket info is available here, and Vees tickets can be purchased through this link.
