Kelowna Rockets ranked 5th as 2014-15 season approaches

KELOWNA - The Kelowna Rockets has been ranked fifth in the BMO CHL top ten pre-season rankings.

The Canadian Hockey league announced the pre-season edition of rankings Wednesday. The weekly rankings of top-10 teams are selected by a panel of the National Hockey League scouts. 

The 2014-15 CHL regular season schedule started last night in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey Leage when the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies visited the defending QMJHL champion Val-d'Or Foreurs. The Western Hockey League schedule opens on Friday, Sept. 19, while the Ontario Hockey League regular season begins on Wednesday, Sept. 24.

The second edition of the BMO CHL Top-10 rankings will be published on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
