KELOWNA - Vancouver Canucks have signed one of Kelowna’s own Rockets — forward Kole Lind.

The 19-year-old originally from Saskatchewan has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Canucks. Lind was drafted 33rd overall in the second round by the Canucks in the 2017 NHL entry draft.

Lind is in his third full season with the Rockets, bumping up his points per game each year, according to a Kelowna Rockets media release. So far this season, he has 35 goals and 50 assists over 51 games.

Last year, Lind scored a team-leading 30 goals and 57 assists in 70 games. During his time with the Rockets, Lind has played in 197 games, accumulating 214 points.
