More than 900 suggestions were sent to the City of Kelowna to name its new massive snow blower. Now, people have until Friday, Feb. 3, to pick their favourites.

Flurious George, Snownado and Snow Mercy were among the top 10.

Betty Whiteout is on the list. It was one of the top two names chosen by Chatham-Kent in 2022. That Ontario city also chose Ctrl Salt Delete for one of its plows.

Other top names from Chatham-Kent, which are also on the Kelowna top 10 list, included Buzz Iceclear and Blizzard of Oz.

Other names on the Kelowna list include Snowbe-gone Kenobi, S’no Problem, Snowasaurus and Blizzard Blaster.

The person who submitted the winning suggestion will get a “deluxe snow blower experience” that includes a photo shoot and demonstration with the snow blower.

If more than one person suggested the winning name, the prize will go to the first person who submitted it.

The winning name will go on the city’s new 45,360 kilogram snow blower.
