Kelowna RCMP seize $20K in cash, along with weapons, drugs during raid

A Kelowna man was arrested during a police raid at a home yesterday that netted the officers $20,000 in cash, weapons and drugs.

A 42-year-old Kelowna man was arrested at a home in the 100 block of Prior Road South in Kelowna yesterday, Jan. 20, where officers also seized $20,000 in cash, weapons and drugs, according to an RCMP media release.

RCMP say the search was part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.

“During the search of the residence, police seized quantities of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl and cannabis,” Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said in the release. “Our officers also seized weapons and various drug paraphernalia commonly used in the trafficking of controlled substances.”
