Kelowna RCMP have recovered an estimated $30,000 worth of stolen property.

On Dec. 14, the Kelowna RCMP executed a search warrant at a residency located in the 600 block of McKenzie Road as part of an investigation regarding stolen property, according to an RCMP media release.

Officers recovered approximately $30,000 worth of stolen property including tools and sports gear. Some of the stolen items have been linked to recent break-ins in the Kettle Valley and Upper Mission areas of the city.

Three individuals were arrested at the residence where the stolen property was found and have since been released from custody as the investigation is pursued and a report to Crown counsel is submitted to the BC Prosecution Service.

The documentation of the stolen items’ serial numbers was instrumental to their recovery.

The RCMP is reminding those who have valuable items such as tools, bikes and electronics to keep track of these serial numbers should they ever be stolen.
