KELOWNA - Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a person of interest after an alleged break and enter at home in Kelowna over three months ago.

RCMP say in a media release they received a report just before 7 a.m. on June 10 about a man walking through an open door into a home in the 400 block of Yates Road and allegedly confronting a woman inside the home.

The woman was assaulted as she forcibly removed him from her residence, RCMP say. She was not injured and didn't need medical treatment.

"Extensive patrols were conducted including the assistance from the police dog services, however the male was not located, and the male was not identified through any surveillance (video) from the area," Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Tania Carroll says in the release.

RCMP describe the person of interest as around 5’11” tall, with shoulder-length brown messy hair. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and blue jeans. The victim helped with a composite sketch of the person of interest.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Const. Dewolf at 250-470-6294.
