KELOWNA - Two suspects were arrested without incident today after police caught them in a stolen vehicle in the Glenmore neighbourhood.
A 47-year-old Kelowna man and a 44-year-old Kelowna woman, each with no fixed address are in police custody as they face potential charges, Cst. Jesse O’Donaghey says in a media release.
Today, Oct. 14, at 10:10 a.m., police received a report of "a suspicious set of circumstances" with a man and a woman in a white Mazda pickup truck in the 1900 block of Bernard Avenue, O’Donaghey says.
Police were told the vehicle was leaving the area of Spall Road and Bernard Avenue.
A search of the Mazda's licence plate showed the vehicle was reported stolen on Sunday, Oct. 2 from Ethel Street in Kelowna
“RCMP officers flooded the area and quickly spotted the alleged stolen vehicle in a parking lot in the area of Kane Road and Glenmore Road,” O’Donaghey says in the release.
O’Donaghey says the pair cooperated with officers and were taken into custody without incident.
