KELOWNA – An 18-year-old Hamilton teenager is possibly facing drug-related charges after he was arrested outside a business in Rutland last week.

RCMP also raided a home at Big White as part of the investigation. The search revealed what appears to be over 54 grams of crack cocaine, individually packaged pieces of crack cocaine and over a gram of heroin. Items consistent with selling illicit drugs were also found.

During the arrest of the suspect in Rutland around 5.6 grams of suspected crack cocaine was found in his possession.

The arrest and search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation by Kelowna RCMP into drug trafficking. The suspect was released from police custody and is expected to be in court July 6.
