A suspected ATM thief was caught in a stolen truck in Kelowna last week.
Kelowna RCMP arrested a man who allegedly stole an ATM from a business in the 1700-block of Highway 33 on Dec. 6, according to a press release from police.
The suspect and a woman were seen in a stolen GMC pickup truck used in the brazen theft, and were arrested on Dec. 11.
Police confirmed the truck was the same one that was reported stolen from the front of a home in West Kelowna in late October.
The woman was released on an undertaking, but the male suspect is known to police and is still in custody for violating a previous release order.
Investigators haven’t finished the report to Crown counsel encompassing a list of crimes including break and enter, possession of stolen property, and driving while prohibited.
