Kelowna RCMP ask public to avoid road due to unfolding police incident

Kelowna RCMP is asking residents to avoid Cooper Road due to an unfolding police incident.

The RCMP is responded to a suspicious incident in the 1800 block of Cooper Road and the investigation requires businesses and the area to be closed at this time, according to an RCMP news release.

"Police are requesting that the public stay away from the area and use alternate routes for vehicular and pedestrian travel. The length of time these closures will remain in effect is unknown," according to the release.

Details are not provided at this time as it's an unfolding police incident.
