Kelowna RCMP are seeking dash-cam footage following multiple complaints and the arrest of a dangerous driver.
According to a Kelowna RCMP media release, a white 2017 Toyota Tundra was the subject of numerous complaints including a near collision with an ambulance and another separate collision with a motorcycle.
The erratic driving took place on the afternoon of Sunday, April 2, and police believe the truck drove from Kelowna to Vernon on Highway 97 before turning around and heading back to Kelowna. It's believed to have been on the highway from 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Eventually, RCMP officers intercepted and stopped the dangerous driver on Enterprise Way at Leckie Road. The driver was arrested and released pending several criminal charges. The vehicle was impounded.
Police are now urging anyone that may have dash-cam footage to come forward and contact Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 and reference file number 2023-17567. Or remain anonymous and contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
