KELOWNA - Police are searching for a knife-wielding thief who made off with an assortment of raw meats two weeks ago.
On Dec. 13 at 9:11 p.m., Kelowna RCMP received a report of a theft committed at the Safeway at the 2300 block of Highway 97. Staff reported how the suspect entered the store and began concealing raw meat items on his person. When confronted by staff, the suspect brandished a knife and fled on foot.
The staff followed the suspect until they lost sight of him near Underhill Street. Police patrols yielded no trace of the suspect.
The thief is described as an approximately six feet tall Caucasian man. He was wearing a grey baseball cap, a dark coloured hoodie, a pair of black shoes with white soles, and baggy pants. He was seen carrying a black bag.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
