KELOWNA – An RCMP Forensic Artist has drawn a composite sketch of the man alleged to have attacked a woman in downtown Kelowna on Oct. 12.

The woman said she was followed by the suspect, who was on a skateboard, then attacked near Richter Street and Elliot Avenue just before midnight.

The man chased after her, tackled her to the ground then dragged her onto a residential property before she managed to break free. She ran away and flagged down a passing motorist.

“Since the incident, a specially trained forensic artist travelled to the B.C. Interior to meet personally with the victim at the Kelowna RCMP Detachment,” states Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey, spokesman for the Kelowna Regional RCMP, in a press release. “Working with our witness in a cognitive interview setting, the artist created a composite sketch of the assault suspect.”

The suspect is described as a Caucasian, possibly part Filipino man, in his early 20s, of medium build, with shoulder length brown and black hair. He was seen wearing all black or dark coloured clothing and riding a skate board.

Anyone with any information is encouraged to call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 or, anonymously, by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or by leaving a tip online at www.crimestoppers.net
