A well-loved white stuffed bunny was left behind at Kelowna General Hospital this week, and a local nurse has made it her mission to find the owner.

On Oct. 18, Interior Health posted on their Facebook page asking locals if they could help the lost bunny find its way home.

The post said that Brandy, a registered nurse on the paediatrics floor at Kelowna General Hospital, is trying to find the owner. The rabbit was returned to her floor after a visit to the laundry department and she suspects it was lost by a patient.

"I want this to be my mission to reunite this bunny with its owner because I just know how special these items are for kids," Brandy said in the post.

"Almost every single admission we see a child bringing one of their stuffies because stuffies are just really comforting... the hospital can be a scary place. It breaks my heart that this one child has lost their stuffy at a place where they probably felt really scared."

Interior Health assured that the bunny has been stored in the "safest spot possible while it waits to hopefully go home soon!"

Anyone who knows the owner of this bunny is asked to contact Interior Health via its Facebook page.
