Canadian bantamweight Sarah (Cheesecake) Moras will face Brazil's Vanessa Melo next month on a televised UFC card in Las Vegas.

The main event of the Nov. 7 show at the UFC's Apex production facility features Thiago Santos, ranked No. 1 among light-heavyweight contenders, against No. 3 Glover Teixeira.

Moras (6-6-0), a Kelowna native, is coming off a loss by decision to Sijara (Sarj) Eubanks in May in Jacksonville, Fla.

The judges scored the bout 30-27, 30-27, 30-26 for Eubanks, who is currently 13th among 135-pound contenders. Moras, a native of Kelowna, B.C., who trains out of Las Vegas, shook her head when the scorecards were announced.

It was the first outing for Moras since Sept. 7, 2019, when she defeated Georgia's Liana (She Wolf) Jojua by third-round TKO at UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi.

The 32-year-old Moras, who competed in Season 19 of "The Ultimate Fighter," is 3-5-0 in the UFC. Velo (19-8-0) has lost all three of her UFC bouts.
