KELOWNA – A masked man robbed a Kelowna motel over the weekend.

RCMP responded to the Super 8 Motel on Highway 97 shortly after 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, when a man with a bandana covering his face, and armed with a knife, threatened the lone desk clerk and demanded money.

A media release from Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says the suspect also pushed the clerk but she was not injured.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his mid to late 20s, 5’6 to 5’8” tall, approximately 125 lbs., with brown eyes and a thin face. He wore a pair of light blue jeans, a dark-coloured athletic jacket, white sneakers, a white- or cream-coloured Hurley hat with dark emblem, a light-coloured bandana over his face and a pair of black gloves.

“Our investigation continues at this time as we process physical evidence secured at the scene,” O’Donaghey says in the release.
