Born without arms or legs, a Kelowna man commonly seen around the city on his longboard is being featured in a documentary about his optimism.

Chris Koch will be featured in the upcoming documentary called Chris Koch: Make Life Happen because he’s been able to accomplish anything he puts his mind to, according to a press release issued by Ascent Films Inc.

“Traveller, farmer, marathoner, and a motivational speaker, Chris challenges and inspires his audiences to build the life they always dreamt of,” according to Ascent Films.

The Kelowna-based documentary film company had a chance to spend some time with Koch during the production of a 44-minute documentary film. The film was shot predominantly in the Okanagan, Shuswap, and partially in Alberta, where Koch is from.

“Chris has a contagious optimism for life and a great, dry and quirky sense of humour. We had lots of fun getting to know him and working with him,” said Lucie Bakala, the producer of the upcoming documentary, in the press release.

The documentary is premiering Aug. 25 at 5 p.m. on AMI-tv. Shortly after its broadcast on AMI it will become available for streaming on AMI.ca, the AMI-tv App, and on the AMI YouTube Channel.
