KELOWNA – A Kelowna man plans to help his mom retire with some of his lottery winnings.

Michael Walker won $675,000 by matching three symbols on his Set for Life scratch-and-win ticket, according to a B.C Lottery Corporation media release.

“First I’m going to take my girlfriend on a weekend getaway,” Walker says in the release. “The other thing I’m going to do is help my mom retire.”

The winning ticket was purchased at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Highway 33 in Kelowna.

Walker says the win feels surreal.
