The morning started out normally for a Kelowna man with a cup of coffee in the hot tub, but the relaxation turned to excitement when he realized he’d won the lottery.

“I was completely flabbergasted,” Roderick Reid said in a BC Lottery Corporation press release issued today, Feb. 29.

Reid decided to check his numbers over his morning coffee when he discovered he had won the $160,189 dollars when he matched 5/6+ numbers from the Jan. 27, Lotto 6/49 draw.

He’s “grateful, excited and overwhelmed,” with the win.

He plans on using the money for a home renovation, a trip to Hawaii and to celebrate with his friends in Mexico.

The odds of winning a Lotto 6/49 Classic jackpot are 1:13,983,816 for each $3 play.
