Kelowna man in hospital after targeted attack

KELOWNA - A Kelowna man remains in hospital with serious injuries he recieved from an alleged assault Tuesday night.

Kelowna RCMP received a report at 10:38 p.m. Sept. 16 that someone was screaming at a residence in the 1500 block of Leaside Avenue. When Mounties arrived, they found the 25-year-old inside the home with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he remains in serious condition, according to a media release.

Investigators believe this was a targeted incident and say there is no danger to the public.

RCMP are still looking into the matter and are asking the public for assistance to help them by volunteering information that could help them identify those responsible for the assault.
