KELOWNA – The victim of a fight remains in hospital after police were called to a home on Gordon Drive yesterday.
Shortly before 3 a.m. June 8, Kelowna RCMP responded to a fight in progress, according to Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.
“Officers arrived on scene and discovered a male victim laying on the ground, bleeding from his head and suffering from obvious injuries. The suspect had reportedly fled the scene on foot,” he says in a media release.
Police were able to track down the suspect and the 25-year-old Kelowna man was taken into custody.
The 23-year-old victim, a Kelowna man, was transported to hospital with what police consider to be serious however non-life threatening injuries.
“The victim remains in hospital at this time, where he continues to undergo surgery and receive ongoing treatment,” O’Donaghey says.
