KELOWNA - Kelowna’s fourth local fighter to sign with the UFC will be back in the octagon and on TV this weekend for UFC Fight Night 88 in Las Vegas.

Shane 'Shaolin' Campbell, 29, is a 6’ lightweight with a record of 12 wins and four losses. This will be his fourth fight for the UFC, after having lost his last fight against James Krause Feb. 21 by decision.

His opponent this weekend, Erik Koch, has a record of 3-3 in the UFC and 12-4 in his career.

In late 2014, Campbell moved to Kelowna from Edmonton to train with David Lea at Toshido MMA. Since then he has fought for the UFC three times and joins UFC veterans Sarah Moras, Rory MacDonald and Matt Dwyer as Toshido fighters who have appeared on the biggest fight stage in the world.

“Here we go again!” coach David Lea wrote on the Toshido Facebook page. “UFC Vegas May 29th! Team Toshido's Shane Shaolin Campbell will be taking on Erik Koch! War Shaolin! War Toshido!”
