KELOWNA - Entrepreneurs with brilliant but untried ideas can team up with like-minded people and learn how to launch new products at Kelowna’s Innovation Centre later this month.

The Techstarts Startup Weekend from March 22 to 24 is looking for people with “an idea you’d like to pursue or a problem you’d like to solve but don’t know where to start or who to start with,” according to the Innovation Centre's website.

The plan is to pitch an idea following the Friday evening dinner, have those ideas voted on, then teams will be formed to work on the best ideas through the weekend, looking at things like customer development and creating what is called a minimal viable product.

The only limitation is that it has to be something that participants haven’t worked on prior to the event.

Startup Weekend bills itself as a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures.
