KELOWNA - Kelowna Fire Department got a little help from their friends when called to a tough structure fire on Highway 33 East last night.

Platoon Capt. Eric Simpson says they were called at 8:15 p.m. yesterday, Jan. 19, and found smoke coming from the roof of a two storey building. Simpson says Joe Rich Fire Department was called to help provide water since there are no fire hydrants in the 4000 block.

The building suffered heavy fire damage but luckily no one was in the building at the time.
