Residents and employees in the downtown Kelowna community can now secure a membership at the Kelowna Downtown YMCA. Membership sales began today at the YMCA’s temporary sales centre located at the Towne Centre Mall.

Situated at 505 Doyle Avenue on the main floor of the new Interior Health Kelowna Community Health and Services Centre, this 7,500 sq. ft. fitness centre will offer a full suite of cardio and strength equipment, an 800 sq. ft. group fitness studio, a dedicated cycle studio, functional fitness areas, stretching areas and day-use lockers and shower amenities. Services will include group fitness classes, specialty health programs, personal coaching, and child minding.

The YMCA team will be at the Towne Centre Mall every Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. The first 500 new members will receive a welcome package worth up to $200 in value including a choice of a free first month or free personal training session, a pass per week to access other YMCA of Okanagan locations before the new centre opens and a YMCA water bottle.

Those looking to start early are invited to join other YMCA of Okanagan locations now and transfer their membership to the new Kelowna Downtown YMCA when it opens.

Construction is underway and the centre is expected to be fully operational in June 2017.

Interested in joining the team? The YMCA of Okanagan will soon be recruiting for volunteers and staff positions. Volunteers receive free training to become YMCA certified group fitness leaders.

Visit the YMCA of Okanagan website for more information.
