Kelowna developer Al Stober has died at the age of 88.

After 62 years of running the Stober Group, Al Stober passed away today, Oct. 18, at the age of 88.
“Al’s leadership and trust in his employees, through countless construction and development projects, allows the Stober Group to always and continuously push the envelope with perceptions, design, quality and excellence,” states a news release.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Sandra and children Linda (Darrell), Mark (Bernice), Ken (Linda) and Carolyn (Matt Hauge) and his 13 grandchildren.
Ken and Carolyn will be taking on the leadership of the company.
While creating the Landmark Centre – with its annual Tree of Hope display - is his greatest and most visible accomplishment he has many other projects to his credit and supported numerous charities.
Landmark 3 and 4 are part of the legacy left behind by Kelowna developer Al Stober who has died at the age of 88.
