Kelowna Chiefs Cruise to Victory over North Okanagan

KELOWNA - Josh Kobelka had two goals, including the game winner as the Kelowna Chiefs defeated the North Okanagan Knights 4-1 at Rutland Arena on Tuesday evening.

Kobelka got the Chiefs on the board at the 18:27 mark in the first period to start off the evening.

In the second, the Knights’ Layne Greene took advantage of a power play, scoring with 6:26 remaining in the period. Kelowna would fire back with two goals including one from Dakota Kittle, his second of the season, and Assistant Captain Dylan Jamieson. Jonathan Lee and Jeran Knorr each picked up an assist.

In the final 20 minutes of play Kobelka scored his second of the night off a pass from Ethan Rusnack and the Chiefs would defeat the Knights 4-1.

The game had a number of penalties, especially in the third period where a total of 32 penalty minutes were handed out along with four game misconducts.

The Kelowna Chiefs will hit the road this weekend with stops in Invermere to face the Columbia Valley Rockies on Saturday followed by a game in Golden against the Rockets.
