People who use public transit in Kelowna are expected to understand a puzzling transfer system.
Anyone who pays the fare after hopping onto a city bus is entitled to a transfer ticket, which allows them to ride another bus within 90 minutes.
Upon request, drivers will cut paper chits in a way to specify which hour of the day, and which quarter of the hour, the transfer is valid until. By compartmentalizing every hour into 15 minute blocks, using a 24-hour clock, drivers can verify that a transfer is no more than 90 minutes old.

Somebody posted a photo of the ticket on Reddit asking when it expires, stumping many readers. They found the correct answer – 1:45 p.m. on Aug. 30 – but many others were able to relate to the confusion.
