The famous Kangaroo Creek Farm is opening its doors to the public this morning for the first time at its new location.
An employee on-site said workers were busy throughout Saturday, hustling for the grand opening. Formerly located in Lake Country, the petting farm has moved to 5932 Old Vernon Road, at the north end of Kelowna International Airport.

The farm is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., seven days a week with social distancing measures in place, according to the petting farm’s Facebook page. It officially opened May 31 for the season.
These measures include: limiting the number of visitors on site at one time, recommendations that visitors pay with credit or debit cards, plexiglass shield installations at the admission booth, marked directions for travel in smaller spaces, an increased number of handwashing stations and changing the washroom layout. Anyone who appears to be ill will not be admitted, according to the Facebook page.
The joeys, sugar gliders and other animals cannot be held at this time, and toys have been removed from the petting zoo.
